How to buy

Okay, you have your idea... now let's bring it to life

You've decided to build your own watch. You have an idea in mind, and you're not going to let it slip away. The first step is to choose the heart of the project: the movement.

The heart of the watch: the MOVEMENT

  • NH35
If you want an automatic watch with a date (self-winding), this is the movement for you.
  • NH38
If you prefer to see the heart of the watch in action or want to avoid the "ghost position" of the date on dials without a date window, this is the ideal choice.
  • VK63
The chronograph, king of precision. It runs on a battery and offers a sporty, technical aesthetic.

How to start your watch

If you don't want to complicate things, you can choose one of our kits.
They come without a movement and include compatible combinations of cases, dials, and hands to simplify the process while maintaining customization options.

In the case of the VK63, construction is only possible using pre-configured VK63 kits.

Or you can build it piece by piece:

The skeleton of the watch: the CASE

Once you've chosen the movement (or kit), we move on to the case.

There are two important aspects:

  • Compatibility
The case must be compatible with the chosen movement. At TickHappens, all our individual cases are designed to be compatible with our movements.
  • Style
The case defines the character of the watch: elegant, sporty, or robust.

Some cases include a magnifying glass for the date, which might not be suitable depending on the chosen dial.

After this, it's important to check the compatible dial size (usually 28.5 mm or 35 mm depending on the model).

DIAL

This is where the creative part of the design comes in.

  • If the dial has a date window → NH35
  • If the dial shows the balance wheel → NH38
  • The dial size must be compatible with the case

The dial defines the aesthetic base of the watch and sets its visual identity.

HANDS

The hands define a large part of the watch's personality and can completely change the final result.

Although some dials have recommended combinations, you are free to choose the ones you like best.

You have all the parts

With this, you have everything you need to bring your watch to life.

Now the final decision:
